Our business model: aligned incentives

Many apps are free because they're funded by ads or data monetization. We chose a different path: Nutika is funded by subscriptions. That means the product is designed to serve you, not advertisers.

No pay-to-win

We don't accept money to change outcomes. Brands can't buy a higher score or silence a concern.

No ads

We don't run third-party ads inside Nutika. Your attention isn't for sale.

No selling personal data

We don't sell your personal data to food manufacturers, ad networks, or data brokers.

Transparency: explain the “why”

Nutika doesn't just label something “good” or “bad.” We explain what we found, what it means, and what you can do about it. We also publish scoring details separately so you can review methodology—not just results.

We focus on concrete reasons (ingredients, label claims, nutrition facts when available) instead of generic fear-based statements.

Privacy: you control your history

Your scan history is stored in your account so you can come back to it. You can delete individual scans, or delete your account to remove associated data.

What we store

  • Your scans and analysis results, so you can review them later.
  • Subscription status (so we can provide the right tier features).
  • Minimal analytics for reliability and product improvement (not ad targeting).

What we don’t do

  • We don't sell your personal data.
  • We don't share your scan history with brands unless you explicitly share it.
  • We don't show third‑party ads.
